Wheat, corn and soy-free dog cookies that you can make at home! Your pup will love this healthy recipe.
1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and coat a baking sheet with cooking spay (preferably canola or olive oil spray).
2. Mix buckwheat flour, oats, flax seed and salt in a large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, blend pumpkin, peanut butter, honey, canola oil and egg.
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, blending with an electric mixer.
5. Place the dough mixture on a countertop that has been sprinkled with some of the buckwheat flour, then flatten the dough with a rolling pin.
6. Using a small cookie cutter, cut out the cookies, then placed them on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Bake for 45 minutes or until the cookies have browned slightly and are no longer soft to the touch.
8. Cool thoroughly, then store in a airtight container, preferably in the refrigerator.
