Description

Quick and easy pickles that really do disappear.

Ingredients

  • 12 whole Cucumbers Sliced
  • 4 whole Large Onions, Sliced
  • 4 cups Sugar
  • 4 cups Cider Vinegar
  • ½ cups Salt
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Celery Salt
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Mustard Seed

Preparation

Makes 1 gallon.

Pack cucumbers and onions tightly into sealable container(s). Mix the remaining ingredients together, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Pour into the container(s) with the cucumbers and onions. Refrigerate 24-48 hour then enjoy. They really do disappear—even the onions.

Thanks Pat! This is our second time making them. The first time I cut the pickles too thin. We added some garlic vs. onions to some of the jars, everyone loves them!
