Description

Easy way to preserve summer in a jar. And then spread on toasted bagel!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Peaches (large)
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¾ cups Granulated Sugar

Preparation

Chop peaches, leaving the skin on. Place in a medium saucepan. Add water and sugar. Cook partly covered on medium heat until it boils.

Reduce heat to low, uncovered, until reduced by half and syrupy ( it can take up to 30 minutes ). Take off heat and let cool slightly in saucepan.

Carefully place in food processor and process until smooth (10-15 seconds). Pour into a jar and let sit on the counter until cools completely. Place the lid on top and store in fridge.

Tried this last night. Taste is fabulous! I prepared it just like your recipe and truthfully, wasn’t happy with how “smooth” it was. I then visited your blog and saw your notes about using a fork for chunkier consistency. I’m going to try that tonight. :) Thanks for sharing — this was SO incredibly easy!
