Description

Use any fresh fruit you like, such as berries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, cherries, etc. Choose a complimentary flavor of Jello to go with the fruit you use.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Crushed Fruit; *see Note
  • 2 cups Crushed Pineapple, Drained
  • 6 cups Sugar
  • 6 ounces, weight Jello Powder; *see Note

Preparation

Boil fruit, pineapple and sugar together for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add Jello, mix and pour into jars and seal. Makes 12 half pints.

NOTES : *Use any fresh fruit you like, such as berries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, cherries, etc. Choose a complimentary flavor of Jello to go with the fruit you use.

My cousin just recommended a similar recipe, using ripe, seeded tomatoes. Too bad my crop was so bad this year. I will keep it in mind, though- sounds like it is just up my alley. Thanks!
