The easiest pickles you will ever make. They can keep for months in the refrigerator, but they never last that long at our house. My daughter asks for them at breakfast!
Slice cucumbers and onion very thin (a mandoline is easiest for this job); set aside.
Mix sugar, vinegar, celery seeds and salt together in a large bowl. Add cucumbers and onion and toss to coat.
Put in airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
