Description

A little bit Asian, a little bit Heinz-Chili-Sauce American, there is no one besides vegetarians who wouldn’t like these meatballs. They have just the right amount of sweet zing to make you go mmm.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Frozen, Pre-made Meatballs
  • ½ cups Onion, Chopped
  • ¾ jars Heinz Chili Sauce
  • ⅓ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch, Whisked Into 1/2 Cup Water
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • 2-½ Tablespoons Rice Vinegar Or Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

Preparation

Mix all ingredients and let simmer over medium-low heat until onions are soft and meatballs are cooked through.

If these are too zingy and not sweet enough for you, try adding a little pineapple juice or ketchup to the sauce.

Fabulous. Made a batch this past week and served ‘em up with some mashed potatoes and a salad for a super dinner. A keeper.

I made these for a New Year’s appetizer and they went over great! They were so easy to make and were extremely addicting. My husband made me remove them from the room because he could not stop eating them. I definitely recommend these!

These are easy and fun and yummy! I made them last year and we practically devoured the whole dish. Made them again this year and I think my ingredients weren’t the same. They didn’t taste as yummy as I remember. But I’m going to try a 3rd time. Still perfect for a quick app.
