Creamy, spicy, peanuty hummus. Perfect for a potluck or any old day.
Shell the boiled peanuts.
Blend peanuts, peanut butter, juice and zest of one small lemon, water, oil, hot sauce and spices in a food processor until smooth and creamy. Add a touch more olive oil, lemon juice , or water to thin it out if you find the texture too thick.
If you like it spicy, be generous with the hot sauce! Salt to taste. If your boiled peanuts were pre-salted you may be able to skip this step.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Garnish with a wedge of lemon and a sprinkle of toasted black sesame seeds.
