Wonderful stove-top popcorn topped with caramelized sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I call it my “Party Popcorn,” and it is always a hit!
Melt the butter over medium heat in a large pot. Add the canola oil, sugar, and corn kernels, and stir well to coat the kernels.
Cover with a close-fitting lid and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until the kernels stop popping, shaking the pot occasionally to coat popped kernels evenly.
When popping has finished, remove from heat or dump into a serving bowl and add salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg, tossing gently to mix.
