Simply Salsa
Description
Canned tomatoes provide the most consistent flavor and texture.
Ingredients
- 1 can 28 Oz - Muir Glen Whole Tomatoes W/Basil - Hand Crush In Bowl (See Option 1 Below)
- 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced Small
- 1 whole Jalapeno, Seeded And Chopped (I Use The Whole Thing---Depends On How Hot You Like It)
- ¼ cups Fresh Cilantro, Chopped, More Or Less If You Desire
- 3 Tablespoons Red Or White Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Cumin (more Or Less As You Desire
- 1-½ teaspoon Garlic Powder (more Or Less If You Desire)
- Salt To Taste
Preparation
Option 1 – or 1 28oz can of Muir Glen Crushed Tomatoes w/Basil
The crushed tomatoes make a thicker salsa, the whole tomatoes make a thinner salsa – depends on what you like
I like Muir Glen – they are organic and always have a great flavor. It’s the only brand of canned tomatoes I buy.
I use my food processor to chop the cilantro and pepper.
Pretty simple, mixed everything together, let it sit for 1/2 hour – (not like I can – I usually start munching immediately) PIG OUT!!
