Description

A cheesy, savory take on the traditional breakfast version.

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves Garlic, Grated
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cans Refrigerated Pizza Dough, 13 Ounce Cans
  • 48 slices Pepperoni
  • 6 ounces, weight Mozzarella Cheese, Cut Into Small Cubes (you'll Want 48 Cubes)
  • Marinara Sauce, Warmed For Dipping

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Heat garlic and butter in a pan over medium heat just until the garlic begins to brown. Remove from heat and let it cool.

Lightly brush the inside of a bundt pan with the garlic butter.

Pull off large marble-sized balls of dough and flatten them (I worked this out with my fingers similar to how you would with a hand-tossed pizza). Top the piece of dough with a slice of pepperoni and a cube of mozzarella.

Wrap the dough around the pepperoni and cheese, pinching well to seal. Put this into the prepared bundt pan. Repeat until all of the dough and fillings are used.

Bake for 35 minutes, until the top is very brown.

Invert the bread out of the pan onto a platter and serve with warmed marinara sauce for dipping.

I wasn’t sure how this would turn out but it worked wonderfully and everyone LOVED it. I did add a couple tablespoons of italian seasoning after the butter melted along with the grated garlic. I also doubled the butter/garlic sauce and then poured some over the top of the pieces just before baking. Turned out beautifully. I’ll be using this recipe again.
