Description

Given to me by a friend, these little things will go fast at any get-together! My husband says they taste like pecan pies. It makes a bunch, so enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter
  • 1 stick Margarine
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Flavoring
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 2 packages Or 2 Sleeves (1/3 Lb. Each) Club Crackers

Preparation

Melt butter, margarine and sugar on top of the stove. Stir around and let it cook for about 3 minutes but DO NOT let it boil.

Remove from heat and add vanilla flavoring and pecans; stir well.

Line cookie sheets with Club Crackers and spoon mixture on top.

Bake in the oven at 325 degrees for 8 minutes. Once cooled, you can store these in airtight containers.

I made these about a month ago for a party and they were a huge hit – the perfect balance of salty and sweet and a nice crisp texture. I think next time I will simply sprinkle the pecans on at the end so it won’t stress me out as much to get them spread evenly. Thanks for sharing!
