Spicy, hot, buttery and a perfect appetizer. With lots of juice and goodness running all over it, have plenty of bread to soak it all up!
Preheat oven to 450ºF. Mix together oil, capers, garlic, pepper flakes, and chipotle. Toss with mushrooms to coat. Pour into a pan to contain the deliciousness (9×9 works perfectly). Put pats of butter on top of the mushrooms. Put in the oven for 15-20 minutes. You will smell when it’s done. Nom nom nom. When it’s out of the oven, finish with lemon (it’s refreshing!) and let it cool just long enough that your mouth won’t be burned for a week.
Serve with bread. Try to breathe between bites.
