Description

Delicious, healthful granola that grownups and kids alike simply devour. An excellent food-storage buster if you keep grains and seeds long-term.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Wheat Germ (optional)
  • 1 cup Coconut, Unsweetened, Dried, Shredded
  • ¼ cups Sesame Seeds, Raw
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • ¾ cups Honey (you Can Use Less If You Prefer)
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries, Sweetened
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • ½ cups Pecans, Chopped (other Nuts Work Well Too)
  • 1 cup Sunflower Seeds, Raw Or Lightly Salted/roasted
  • ¼ cups Flax Seed
  • ¼ cups Millet, Raw

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lightly oil a jelly roll pan or large cookie sheet.

Mix all the dry stuff together in a bowl. Mix oil and honey in a pan over medium heat until it is fluid enough to drizzle.

Drizzle the hot mixture over the dry stuff and mix it up. Spread everything in the jelly roll pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

Allow to cool. Serve!

My kids like to eat this straight as a snack, but it’s good with milk as a cereal, too. I’ve also completely skipped the heating of the oil and honey and just stirred it all in. Everything melts together in the oven, so just give it a good stir when it comes out before it cools to make sure everything is coated.
