Description

These are an economical, easy-pleaser addition to any luncheon, potluck, or party!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Medium Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 3 stalks Green Onions, Or More To Taste
  • 1 whole Shredded Carrot
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 package (12 Oz. Package) Egg Roll Wrappers

Preparation

Cut up onion and chop garlic; put into a skillet under medium heat. Let them soften before adding in ground beef to brown.

Once the meat is browned, drain most of the fat and then add in green onion, carrots, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Taste the filling to make sure it has enough soy sauce and pepper. I added a bit more here and there until I liked the flavor. Take it off heat and start wrapping.

Crack and beat the egg in a small bowl.

Keep a damp cloth over the egg roll wrappers to keep them from drying out, and use the egg mixture to seal the wraps closed.

Once they are all wrapped up tight (you can use a burrito style wrap that keeps it all tucked in nice), tuck them into a deep fryer for about three or four minutes until the outside is a golden brown.

Lay on paper towels to drain and serve hot!

This recipe left my family asking for more because it was so good! I doubled the recipe and adjusted the seasonings to our taste and used rice paper wrappers that I found at a Korean grocery in our area- so good! Thank you for posting!
