These delicious hot appetizer “cheese cookies” are my take on a recipe originally found in “Candlelight and Wisteria: Recipes and Romance from the Deep South.”
Preheat oven to 400F.
Mix cheese and butter, then stir in flour and spices until blended.
Shape into one inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for fifteen to twenty minutes (until golden brown) and serve immediately.
Dough can be refrigerated up to two days.
