Description

Spicy snack mix made using sesame sticks, potato sticks, pepitas, roasted peas and sunflower seeds with honey and BBQ seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Salted Sesame Sticks
  • 2 cups Potato Stitcks
  • ½ cups Sunflower Seed Kernels
  • 1 cup Pepitas
  • ½ cups Roasted Peas
  • ½ cups Honey
  • ½ containers KC Masterpiece BBQ Seassoning (6oz Container)

Preparation

Heat oven to 350 F. Cover 2 large rimmed sheet pans with parchment paper. Let the paper hang over the edge of the pan. Spray the parchment paper with vegetable oil spray and set pans aside.

Mix all the ingredients except the honey and BBQ seasoning in a large bowl then spread it out on the sheet pans. Start drizzling honey over the mixture, making sure all ingredients are covered. It may take more than 1/2 cup. Take a spoon and stir everything around to make sure the honey covers all ingredients. Spread it out again and sprinkle with BBQ seasoning. Stir slightly and spread it back out, making sure the mixture is in a single layer.

Bake in the heated oven until honey is slightly bubbling, around 12 minutes. When you take it out of the oven stir it around slightly and spread it back out. Let it cool. We have a problem letting it cool before we dig in.

When cooled, break apart and place in plastic bags. It will be slightly sticky. Enjoy.

Note: If you like it spicier you can use Grippo seasoning. You can use other ingredients as well, such as pretzels and roasted edamame are good. Regarding the KC Masterpiece seasoning … I can only find it at Walmart in the spice section.
