This is one of my favorite things to eat around the holidays. My grandma used to make this during Christmas. Now we make this for our family get-togethers. It is super delicious and addicting. This recipe makes a fairly big batch.
Into a mixing bowl, add cream cheese (slightly softened) and beat with a hand mixer until fluffy. Add cottage cheese and mix until well combined (about 2 minutes).
Then, in a slow stream, add the heavy whipping cream and whip until the dip is thick and a little stiff (about 5 minutes).
Mince the garlic, and then add it to the dip. Make sure you beat it until it’s well incorporated.
Chill the dip in the fridge for at least 2 hours. It takes a while for the garlic taste to develop. If you find there isn’t enough garlic, add more. Serve the dip with salty pretzels and Ruffles chips. The salty with the garlic really make this dip a yummy appetizer. Enjoy!
