This is a variation on your traditional Mexican cheese dip.
Microwave butter, onion, and garlic on high until butter melts. Add cumin, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, and green chiles. Cover with plastic wrap (leaving a vent) and microwave on high until melted, stirring frequently. Add cream cheese and black pepper and cook 1 minute. Stir and cook 1 minute. Stir in cilantro. Serve with tortilla chips.
