A very quick and simple way to create a crisp zucchini using simple ingredients, and done in a hot skillet!
Slice zucchini into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
Melt butter in a heat safe bowl with a sealed lid. Add desired seasonings (such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.) to the melted butter and stir to combine.
Add sliced zucchini to the seasoned butter, seal lid, and toss until squash is fully coated.
Preheat a large, empty skillet on medium-high heat. Once the skillet is to temperature, using heat safe tongs, add zucchini one by one to the hot skillet.
Sear on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, until squash is golden brown. Using a basting brush, baste the tops of the squash with the remaining melted butter.
Gently flip each slice, and sear again for about 5 minutes, until golden brown.
Remove from skillet, and let rest for around 5 more minutes to allow the inside to finish cooking.
