Taught to me by my friend in Jordan. A traditional dip served with Maqloobeh (see my other recipes) and other meat dishes. Excellent by itself. You need to use english cucumbers instead of regular ones.
1. Finely chop the english cucumbers and put them in a large bowl with the garlic.
2. Add the greek yogurt, stir.
3. Add lemon juice and salt to taste.
4. Take the dried mint and crush it in your hands, drizzling the pieces over the mixture. Mix well. Taste and add more mint as desired.
5. Enjoy!

This is very similar to the cucumber & yogurt recipe my Arabic family makes. I usually chop up 3 English cukes to one 16 oz container of Greek yogurt. I also use a mix of dried and fresh mint, 3 cloves of garlic, and a lot of salt (like 2 teaspoons). Luckily, this is a very versatile recipe that can be adjusted to personal tastes.
Thanks for posting! Very yummy, and a staple in my repertoire of recipes.
