Description

Say what? Radishes like you’ve never seen them before.

Ingredients

  • 10 whole Radishes
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon Sugar
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon Sugar For Sprinkling On Top, If Desired

Preparation

Note: I enjoyed these mixed in with Greek yogurt and a spoonful of honey! I wanted to dip them, but they came out so small that they were just begging to be sprinkled on the yogurt instead!

Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Slice the radishes approximately 1/4 inch thick and put them in a microwave safe bowl. When you are done slicing, microwave for about 30 seconds to soften them up. Drain any liquid, and add them to a larger bowl.

Add the olive oil, honey, and cinnamon sugar. Mix well to coat all of the radishes. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are evenly spread out and not stacked on top of each other.

Cook for 15 minutes at 350ºF, then remove the radishes and flip them over. Reduce oven temperature to 225ºF and bake for another 20 minutes. You want them to shrink in size and get crispy, but not burned, so keep a close eye on them. Remove them from the oven and enjoy!

hmm…tried these tonight… maybe if I’d had a confection oven? They didn’t turn out at all well; smelled bad and didn’t taste good either. I made some w/ super thin slivers of radish as well as the 1/4″ the recipe called for. Bummed they didn’t turn out, but it was interesting to try.

I’ve often said that I will ingest cinnamon “anything”. I’m in!

How interesting! I’m definitely intrigued and happen to have some radishes!
