Description

A co-worker of mine gave me this recipe. It is great for family gatherings or just movie night at home with the kids.

Ingredients

  • 6 quarts Popcorn (popped)
  • 3 cups Miniature Marshmallows
  • 2 cups Cinnamon Bears (cut Each Into 3 Pieces)
  • 2 cups Chopped Walnuts (optional)
  • 1-⅓ cup Sugar
  • ½ cups Light Karo Syrup
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 4 drops Red Food Coloring

Preparation

Mix popcorn, marshmallows, walnuts, and cinnamon bears in a large bowl. Set aside. In a good quality (thick bottomed) saucepan, bring sugar, Karo syrup, and butter to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Turn heat down to medium and continue stirring and cooking over a slow boil for five minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and red food coloring. Add to popcorn mixture and quickly stir together. The cinnamon bears and marshmallows should slightly melt. Form into popcorn balls if desired. I usually leave it in the bowl as it tends to disappear quickly at my house!

Cinnamon bears are small, gummy, chewy cinnamon flavored candies (bear shaped). Sorry, it seriously never occurred to me that there are people who don’t know cinnamon bears…..I am far too familiar with the little devils!

This stuff is crack corn…. you’re addicted to it as soon as you taste it. Seriously divine.
Only thing I change is no food coloring and I use 2 bags of Orville’s Smartpop popcorn…
Delicious.
