The only thing that could make guacamole better? Bacon. It’s a match made in summer dip heaven.
1. Fry bacon in a skillet over medium high heat until it’s nice and crispy. Place the bacon on a plate lined with paper towels. When cool, crumble into small pieces.
2. Remove avocado from outer shell. In a medium bowl, use a fork to smash avocado flesh. Smash until you reach desired consistency (we prefer ours a little on the chunky side). Stir in lime juice and salt.
3. Add cilantro, bacon, chopped tomato, and leaf lettuce and mix together. Serve with tortilla chips or hunks of crusty bread.
