A fresh, easy, always gobbled up appetizer!!!
Boil the asparagus in salted water until tender. Run under cold water to stop cooking, pat dry.
Blot ham slices with a paper towel if they are damp. Spread cream cheese all over the ham slices.
Place 1 asparagus spear at wide end of ham slice, and roll up. Cut off the ends (and eat, or discard) and then cut into 3 pieces. Secure with toothpick!!

Mmm, my mom used to make something similar to this. Except instead of fresh asparagus she used pickled asparagus.

No, I haven’t tried roasted asparagus, but that would add a nice depth of flavor! you can also use a herbed cream cheese too, to mix it up!!

Sounds yummy! I’ve had pickles wrapped in ham and cream cheese, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, and asparagus wrapped in beef, and this sounds like a great variation of all of those!
Have you tried it with roasted asparagus instead of boiled?
