This recipe always gets attention due to it’s name. It is really just hamburger and some other ingredients. I’ve never taken it to a potluck where it isn’t devoured and people ask for the recipe. It was given to me by a nurse I worked with many years ago.
This recipe is best if made the night before to allow the flavors to ‘marry’ in the refrigerator overnight.
Place lean ground beef and onion in a large, deep skillet over medium high heat. Cook until beef is evenly brown and onion is soft. Drain and turn heat to medium low.
Pour in condensed cream of mushroom soup. Mix in processed cheese food and desired amount of jalapeno peppers. Cook and stir until all ingredients are well blended, about 10 minutes.
Transfer the mixture to a medium bowl. Cover and chill in the refrigerator 8 hours, or overnight.
Reheat the mixture in a slow cooker, mixing in about 1 tablespoon of water to thin if necessary, before serving.
Serve with plain unflavored chips.

Yes, it is Velveeta, but they won’t let you say it in the recipe……..sigh.

This recipe is so good! It is good right after you make it, but when you actually let it sit overnight, the flavors are amazing.

You can also make this using 1 lb of ground beef, and 1 lb of spicy sausage (like Jimmy Dean) – it’s so delicious!!

so, it may not look all that appealing, but trust me, you throw this in front of a bunch of guys while watching a football game and it will be gone with in minutes. so easy to throw together with few ingredients. you won’t be disappointed.
