I use this just like the powdered mix from the store, but it’s free from artificial flavors and ingredients. I keep it in a mason jar in the freezer and add a tablespoon or two to a container of sour cream or plain yogurt. Mix with mayonnaise and milk to desired consistency for a salad dressing.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well with a whisk. Store in airtight container in a cool dry place.
Add 1-2 tablespoons to a container of sour cream for a yummy ranch “dip.” Serve with fresh veggies or chips.
Combine 1-2 tablespoons with 1 cup mayonnaise and add milk until desired consistency for salad dressing.
Refrigerate until serving.

When you say “a container” of yogurt or sour cream, could you be more specific about which size?

Thank you for sharing this recipe! I have been wanting a recipe for dried ranch mix, as I am trying to get away from so many processed, chemical-laden foods.
I’ll be trying this in my taco soup that calls for a packet of the infamous envelope

Powdered buttermilk is often found with other powdered milk products in the grocery store – or ask – someone will help and if they don’t carry it they will order it. I wouldn’t be without it. A frig staple

I usually find it with the dried milk in the grocery store or in the baking section, but I went to replenish my stash and I haven’t been able to find it again. A quick google search found a couple of different brands readily available. I store it in the refrigerator when I do have it.

I have never heard of dried buttermilk nor have I seen it at my grocery store. I know buttermilk is crucial in Ranch dressings. Any idea where or how to purchase it. Looks like a great recipe!
