A cabbage and noodle side dish. Warm and comfy.
Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain. Set aside in a large service dish and stir in 1/4 stick of butter to ensure they do not stick together.
While egg noodles are cooking, melt 1/4 stick of butter in large sautee pan over medium/high heat.
Add the onion and sautee for about 5 minutes.
Add chopped cabbage, salt and pepper to taste, and sautee to desired level of tenderness.
Both the cabbage and onion will start to get translucent. That’s when I remove the vegetables from the heat and mix them in with the egg noodles.
Serve warm.
