This is a staple at our breakfast table every Christmas. Garlicy, cheesy…what could be better?
Combine 2 cups water and 2 cups milk and bring to a boil.
Add grits and cook according to package instructions.
Add remainder of ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste.
Pour in ungreased deep casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
This recipe can be made ahead of time. Let the mixture come to room temperature and store. Bake before serving.

I have researched it some, and I didn’t realize that it is now discontinued…at least for the time being. Hopefully Kraft will realize how many people used that product (especially in the South!). Anyway, there seems to be a relatively good substitute out there. Boursin Garlic and Herb Cheese would probably cut it, although the herbs might add a little different flavor. It’s found at Sam’s Wholesale Club and probably some other grocery stores.

This is a staple for us too! My kids love it! I have not been able to find the Kraft Garlic cheese for about a year! Where do you get it? I have been using velveeta and 1 T of garlic powder as a substitution.
