Description

This is a very simple and totally yummy appetizer that is great for any get-together.

Ingredients

  • 3 pieces Chicken Breasts, Cut Into Bite-Sized Peices
  • 10 pieces Bacon, Cut In Half
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix brown sugar and chili powder into a small bowl. Put dijon mustard in a small bowl.

Roll each chicken piece into the dijon mustard. Wrap a bacon piece around the chicken, then secure with a toothpick. Roll the chicken around in the brown sugar and chili powder mixture. Make sure to cover it well. Put each completed piece on a broiling pan. Once you have finished all of them, bake for about 25 minutes or until the chicken is done and the bacon is nice and brown.

Expect a little smoke to come from the bacon grease dripping into the broiler pan …. no biggie though. These are great! The kids loved them too, even the picky eaters. :-) I am sure you could dip them in a lot of different dips. I served them alone and they were good like that too!

Yum! Made these to eat with the big game and what a hit they were! In fact I had no leftovers to bring with me to work today! Guess I will just have to make more!

Made these the other night. Decided to use italian dressing in place of the mustard (I do not like mustard at all) They turned out wonderful – whole family loved them. Thanks!

These are awesome. I have been asked for this recipe everytime I make these. I dip them in italian dressing (not a fan of mustard) and they turn out great – kid approved too!

Super easy to make and a big hit at the potluck I brought them to. My only tip: be sure to place them upright like little cylinders so the chicken juice/grease can drip out and not pool in the bacon “tube.” It didn’t taste bad but it was somewhat unsightly. Otherwise, these are awesome and I fully intend on making them again, and playing around with different seasonings!
