A delicious holiday snack everyone will love.
In a microwave safe bowl add milk chocolate morsels. Using 30 second intervals heat chocolate in the microwave. Stir well between additional 30 second heating intervals. Once smooth, add peppermint extract and stir again. Set aside.
Into a zip-lock bag add the candy canes, seal the bag and use a rolling pin crush them into tiny pieces.
Using a spoon add several pretzels into the melted peppermint chocolate. Using your clean hands remove chocolate-covered mini pretzels and sprinkle on some candy cane bits. Then place on a waxed paper lined platter. Be patient. This will take a few minutes to prepare but it is so worth the effort. Repeat until all the mini pretzels are used.
Allow the chocolate to set then transfer chocolate-peppermint covered pretzels to a nice serving dish. Serve and enjoy! Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container.
