Description

Great side dish for the holidays or any day! Great flavor combination.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans (15 1/2 Oz. Size) Pinto Beans, Drained
  • 1 cup Low Sodium Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Ketchup (any Brand, I Use Heinz)
  • 3 Tablespoons Brown Spicy Mustard
  • 2 dashes Hot Sauce (your Favorite)
  • 1 whole White Onion, Peeled And Diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1-¼ cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 6 slices Hickory Smoked Bacon (crispy And Cut Into Pieces)
  • 3 sprigs Fresh Chives Cut Into Small Pieces

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

In a mixing bowl, add drained pinto beans, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, onion, and black pepper. Stir well to mix.

Using a 9 x 12 x 3 baking dish, add mixing bowl ingredients, smoothing out the top. Add shredded cheddar cheese on top in a single layer, then add bacon pieces on top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover during the final 10 minutes of bake time and add chopped chives to the top. This will smell great while baking!

Remove from oven and serve immediately. Goes great with any meat option, beef, poultry.

Enjoy!
