Description

This jelly will bring with it a whiff of the olden days!

Ingredients

  • 24 whole Corn Cobs
  • 6 pints Water
  • 3 packages Sure-Jel
  • 6 cups Sugar

Preparation

Boil corn cobs in water for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and strain. If needed, add enough water to make 6 cups of liquid. Add Sure-Jel and bring to a full boil. Add sugar and boil for 2 or 3 minutes until it reaches jelly stage.

Is there a few steps missing to this recipe? After the corn is cooked do you remove it from the cob? what else do you do before you add the SureJel?

This was the first time I made corn cob jelly and I used your recipe. It turned out absolutely wonderful and my family is really enjoying it. Hopefully it will be a grand champion at county fair next year!
