Description

Delicious asparagus roasted with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. It’s so delicious you’ll want it for your main course.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Asparagus
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ cups Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

Turn your oven on to broil. Bring a pot of water to boil and put in the asparagus. Cook for just a few minutes, until barely tender. Then drain off the water.

Melt the butter in the microwave for a few seconds. Once melted, mix the garlic powder into it.

Lay the asparagus out on a cookie sheet. Cover with the Parmesan cheese and then pour the garlic butter over the top.

Put the tray on the top shelf of your oven. Broil a few minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly crispy in spots. Serve immediately! Enjoy!

I’m not sure I made this correctly because mine turned out with some parts of the asparagus being too gooey and some being too hard. I’ll blame it on user error, because I haven’t worked with asparagus very much, and the flavors themselves were very good. It was very easy to make, and next time I’ll try using fresher asparagus and boiling it a little longer. An estimated boiling time for the asparagus would be helpful, in addition to total prep and cooking times! Thanks for posting!
