This is a very popular appetizer in my house and I always get recipe requests whenever I take it to a function. It’s very versatile and easy to change up to suit your taste.
Combine all ingredients well except for the nuts and parsley. Mold into a ball and wrap in saran wrap and place in fridge for at least 2 hours.
When ready to serve, roll the ball in the chopped nuts and place on a plate. Sprinkle with the fresh parsley. Serve with crackers, veggies, toasted baguette slices, or whatever suits your fancy.
I make this ball using fresh smoked salmon from my local fish market. I live in the Northwest where this is readily available. If you choose this option, leave out the liquid smoke. Please feel free to season this as you please – it’s very forgiving. Enjoy!
