Queso Fundido is a perfect recipe to serve to a hungry football crowd. It’s easy to make and it’s an excellent snack food.
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. Cut a jalapeno in half lengthwise and remove the ribs and seeds. Finely dice the jalapeno and set aside.
In a cast iron pan or skillet, start to brown the chorizo. Add in the jalapeno, garlic powder and onion powder and cook, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
While the chorizo cooks, cut the Chihuahua cheese into 1-inch cubes. Place the cheese in an oven safe baking dish and pour the chorizo evenly on top. Bake until melted and bubbly, about 20 minutes.
Serve with tortilla chips.
