Tasty bread & butter pickles made from store-bought dill pickles.
Take your large jar of store-bought dill pickle chips and pour out the juice, leaving the pickles in the jar.
Add the red pepper flakes to the jar. Add more red pepper flakes if you want more of a “kick” of spiciness. Add the sugar to the jar.
Replace the lid on the jar and close it tightly. Now, turn the jar upside-down and right-side-up, repeatedly, until the sugar is all dissolved.
Store the jar in the refrigerator. Every time you go into the fridge turn the pickle jar over. Let them set about 2-3 days for all the flavors to mingle. As they set, the jar will fill back up about halfway with juice. Enjoy!
