This is a simple recipe and it’s so much better than the store bought stuff.
Dump the sour cream in a bowl, add your grated cucumber and then add your chopped garlic. Mix and transfer the mixture back into your sour cream container (or another container). Put in the fridge for a few hours – the flavors are better when eaten the next day with a fresh loaf of bread.
Enjoy!!!!
Usually tzatiki is make with plain Greek yogourt but I find there’s a little after taste.
Note: you can add more garlic for more of a kick.

This looks similar to the sauce I created after eating at Gyro’s here in Dayton, Ohio, however, I don’t peel my cucumber, I drain my cucumber after shredding it, and I add about 1/4 c finely chopped red onion to the mixture. It is wonderful on bread, crackers, chips, sandwiches, and on felafel pita sandwiches it is to die for!
