A perfect dip to serve with fruit that is light and delicious.
For regular pudding: Mix the contents of the pudding mix with the milk. Whisk until incorporated and thick and all the lumps are gone. Gently fold the pudding into the Cool Whip with a rubber spatula. Add amaretto, to taste. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
For stove top pudding: Mix the pudding mix with the milk. Whisk until incorporated and thick. Turn off the heat and remove from the burner at this point. Whisk for about 3–5 minutes to cool it down a bit. Once cool or at room temperature, gently fold the pudding into the Cool Whip with a rubber spatula. Add amaretto to taste. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve with fruit, especially strawberries, grapes and pineapple.
