Fantastic recipe! I followed the recipe as written with the exception that I doubled the sauce / syrup to have enough for the tofu & large side of veggies (broccoli & asparagus). I will definitely be making this one again!

Excellent! Finally an asian dish to make at home that tastes good. I think the sauce burnt with the burner on high but that was a user error. Thanks for spicing up our cooking routine!

I left out the fish sauce to make it truly vegetarian so I think I lost some of the initial saltiness. We added in a little more soy and it was perfect. Great base recipe!

This sounds delicious, but the fish sauce wouldn’t work for me since I’m a vegetarian. Is there a substitute I could use in place of that?

This was delicious, and seems very adaptable to variations depending on what’s available – I was in a hurry and didn’t have all the fresh ingredients, so used dried spices instead, no fish sauce, and lots of cilantro, and it was still very tasty. I agree with katrina, next time I may make extra sauce to serve over stir fried veggies and noodles.

I made this last night as is (no substitutions) and my husband and I LOVED it. I think next time I will double the sauce/marinade, and use over broccoli when serving. Delicious!
