While they tasted delicious I was disappointed in the structural integrity. They fell apart really easily coming out of the pan. Half of them crumbled apart despite leaving them to cool longer when I saw how easily the first ones crumbled. However, the ones that survived are delicious and I saved the crumbles to put in yogurt. I'll be making them again but plan to get 16 servings instead of 24.

I made these granola bars yesterday and although they are very good, I don't like the texture that results. I would prefer a drier granola bar and mine were very chewy/wet. They didn't hold together very well and although they were way to sweet for me, my husband and some co-workers thought they were fine. I do like the simplicity of the bar, but I think that I would decrease amount of sweetened condensed milk and try simply condensed milk and add my own honey to give it the sweetness I'd prefer. Other than those two things, they are a great quick simple bar.

I have made several different kinds of homemade "granola bars" with various ingredients and these are probably the simplest. My husband has tasted all of them and his response was "these are the best granola bars you have ever made." I thought the sweetened condensed milk might make them too sweet, but surprisingly they weren't and the texture is so right on.

I made these for the first time yesterday. They are delicious and SO EASY. The best part, in my opinion, is the variety of bars you can make. The coconut, chocolate chips, and cherries can easily be swapped out for other ingredients- my guilty pleasure used to be Quaker Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip granola bars- knowing how easy (and how much healthier!) it is to make my own makes me so happy- I'm never going back to processed, packaged granola bars.
