(to sweetebakes ~ trust me, you can't taste the coconut over the peppermint in these. Coconut oil is extremely mild. =)

Thanks so much for sharing this recipe, Elana! I really, really like these. I {never} buy candybars, but if I were to buy one, a York would be at the top of the list. I love it that I can make these healthy alternatives. The recipe was so simple and made just enough for a small dinner party...they're great right out of the freezer! I'm going to have to check out some of your other recipes, too...your cookbook looks very appealing. =)

Oh, and I honestly don't know much about the ado over Agave, yet...I have a very small bottle of it that's lasted me the last few months, but it tasted fine in this recipe. I would be willing to try raw honey, too...would you use the same amount of honey, or less?

I was wondering if there would also be something to substitute the coconut oil?? I'm not a huge fan of coconut but these sound so good! I have to admit I love checking out your site because my boyfriend's dad is gluten-free and I'm always looking for new sweets to make him!

These sound awesome. Can you recommend a substitute for the agave nectar? I can't find it anywhere, not even in the specialty shops.
