This is excellent! All three of my kids have dairy allergies, and I can’t have dairy while I still have a nursling, and this fills our chocolate fix needs. I liked it better warm. The kids liked it cold. Good either way!

What would you suggest as an alternative to maple syrup? I live in London and it’s too expensive here. Maybe golden syrup or honey?

nope, the heat of the mixture will melt it as you stir. i will make an edit so that its clear the chocolate needs to be chopped.

Are you supposed to melt the semi-sweet chocolate bar before mixing it?
