Description

Avocado toast is very popular both because it tastes good, and because it’s loaded with healthy fats. This is the way I build avocado toast. Use your own low carb/Keto bread, and be sure to add the carbs and calories for that. Suitable for Atkins, Keto, LCHF, low carb, diabetic, low glycemic, gluten free, grain free, sugar free, dairy free if sour cream omitted, nut free, coconut free, Paleo, Vegetarian if bacon omitted.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Your Own Low Carb Bread
  • ½  Haas Avocado (About 2 1/2 Oz.)
  • 3  Grape Tomatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons Bacon Crumbles
  • 1 Tablespoon Daisy Sour Cream, Warmed
  • 1 teaspoon Trader Joe's Everything But The Bagel Seasoning

Preparation

Toast bread. Smash the avocado in a small bowl. Slice tomatoes into thin rounds. Warm bacon crumbles in the microwave for about 20 seconds to crisp the bacon.

Warm sour cream in the microwave for about 10 seconds so it becomes thin enough to drizzle.

When toast is ready, spread mashed avocado onto each slice. Top with part of the bacon crumbles, reserving some for garnish. Sprinkle a little bit of the Everything But The Bagel Seasoning on each slice. Add sliced tomatoes, and press lightly so they stick to the avocado. Drizzle the sour cream over the top.

Garnish with remaining bacon crumbles and another sprinkle of seasoning. Enjoy!

Notes:
• The avocado toast pictured was built on Aunt Rocky’s Zero Carb Egg Bread (not included in nutrition panel). See separate recipe on Tasty Kitchen for that bread. Use whatever low carb/Keto/Paleo bread you have. Just be sure to add the carbs and calories for your bread, if you are tracking your foods. If you use Aunt Rocky’s Zero Carb Egg Bread, add 244 calories and 1 net carb (zero carbs is the rounded net carb count for a single slice).
• I get no kickback for products used in my recipes. Brand names are included to assure more accurate nutritional estimates. Nutrition information is based on My Fitness Pal’s online recipe analyzer. The recipe is stored there and available to MFP users for logging in their food diaries. Sugar alcohols and liquid Sucralose are excluded from nutrition counts, as they are not absorbed by the body and rate zero on the glycemic index.
