I double the recipe to fill my 6 qt oval crock. Have to have seconds and leftovers! I do use the tapioca now. I can’t even say how delicious this always comes out! Foolproof! Will make it again and again! I omitted the tapioca and the thickness was perfect for us. Only other change was that I added some minced garlic. We absolutely loved the taste of this stew. The tomato soup mixes with the juices from all the ingredients to make a really declious base. I’ve struggled other times to make a stew with that perfect gravy base…not anymore! Super simple, quick and delicious! Thanks for posting it!
