I kept waiting to make the sofrito and am so glad that I did. The soup was excellent. I doubled the batch, gave half to my in-laws and even my daughter who does not like beans (of any kind) ate it after church this evening. This recipe goes in my tasty book!

The entire family enjoyed this and there were no leftovers. The sofrito needed was easy to make and I find that I use it in a lo of things now.
