The recipe tastes creamy and not broth-y, which I like. I did not add the red pepper flakes until I was finished cooking when I decided it needed some heat. I also transferred the liquid to a blender as I do not have an immersion blender…yet. Will definitely make again, but this recipe makes quite a bit.

I used a bit less crushed red pepper to lessen the heat for my kids. I also didn’t have any fresh basil and just used dried. Still came out wonderful! My whole family loved it!
