They always make the Pfannkuchen not too sweet in order to use the leftovers in this soup. I do the same and have found that Pfannkuchen from the day before work the best, since they keep their shape better in the hot soup after a night in the fridge. Love it! They taste like a mix of dumplings and eggnoodles.
