I was introduced to this about 15 years ago. Some friends of ours from the South invited us to a low country "bull". I could not for the life of me understand what she was saying. So we went anyone and found out it was a low country boil. I just couldn't understand her southern accent over the phone. : ) We loved it!

Last year, we started making this (a little bit different version, almost the same) at our church campout for Sunday dinner. This year we made it for 70 people. We make it outdoors in big propane cookers. Everyone loves it!

My husband is from Charleston. We now live in New Mexico, and make this for our friends and family all the time. We made a huge pot for our son's 1st birthday party. It was a huge hit! We usually use turkey kielbalsa.
