This is more of a creole style jambalaya than the cajun jambalaya most people are familiar with. This one uses tomatoes and is very saucy. A typical cajun jambalaya does not use tomatoes and is drier. Personally I prefer the cajun style jambalaya but this one is very good. It's very easy and it does make the house smell great. It has just the right amount of heat. The measurements of this recipe are spot on. Goes great with fresh bread.
