I left out the tumeric because I didn’t have any and I also left out the butter. Fantastic soup!! My husband really liked it too, which means a lot since he’s super picky! My Mom usually hates corn chowder, but when I tossed this together one night she said it was delicious, and then told everyone she works with about it. I make it often without bacon, since I was a vegetarian for many years, but added the bacon for my Dad and it was even better.
